Below you will find a central location of quick links showcasing opportunities to get involved with our local government and community, otherwise known as Civic Engagement. Studies have shown that communities with a higher level of Civic Engagement experienced significantly lower rates of violent crime. This is due to the ability of those communities to involve their citizens, regulate their behavior and collectively resolve community social problems.  These communities also experience lower poverty and unemployment while seeing higher average incomes per household.
