• The Parks and Recreation Citizens Advisory Board meets on a monthly basis.
• Meetings are typically held at 6:00 PM on the third Wednesday of the month at the CityRec Center located at 1315 E. Catawba Street, Belmont, NC 28012.

Overview

The Belmont Parks and Recreation Department has a Citizens Advisory Board which serves as a liaison between the citizens of Belmont, the City Council, and the Parks and Recreation Department. Members are residents of the city who are appointed by the Belmont City Council for a 3-year term.

Duties

In this advisory capacity, the committee will support the mission of the Belmont Parks and Recreation Department, which mission is to provide the citizens of Belmont with recreational and leisure opportunities that will positively affect the lifestyle behavior patterns of all who live, work, and play in their communities.
