Sex Offender Registry

History

In January of 1996 the North Carolina General Assembly created the NC Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry . This law provides an outline of registration requirements for individuals living in North Carolina, including but not limited to non-resident students and non-resident workers.

Purpose

This Registry acts as a resource to protect and inform the public of who may be residing nearby. For more detailed information about the state of North Carolina Sex Offender Registry, please see the North Carolina Sex Offender Registration Program document below.

Search the Registry
