Traffic Enforcement

The City of Belmont Police Department has implemented a Speed Watch Program. This program is aimed at reducing incidents of speeding in the communities throughout the City of Belmont. Our Traffic Enforcement division utilizes Radars, Lidars, a Speed Display Trailer, and several Stealth Stats. These tools are designed to raise public awareness of how fast drivers are traveling in areas of speed complaints.  If you have information regarding speeding or other traffic violations/concerns, you may visit our Report a Crime or Concern form by clicking HERE.

If you have concerns regarding speeding in your neighborhood and would like to request additional safety devices be installed such as speed humps, speed bumps, additional stop signs, rubble strips, etc,, please review our traffic calming policy here.
