System development fees are required for new construction. Their purpose is to offset the incremental cost of replacing existing and/or constructing new capital assets to provide capacity that will continue to meet the demands placed on the system by each new customer or development. We must perform a supporting analysis to calculate the fee at least once every five years. The City Council will conduct a public hearing on November 6, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at the CityWorks building at 1401 E. Catawba Street.
