VAR2020.01 Channel View Variance Request

Applicant seeks relief from front setback requirements in Section 4.2 of the Belmont Land Development Code, which require front setbacks on infill lots to generally be equal to the average setback for all principal structures within 300 feet or 1 block length (whichever is greater).  applicants wish to move the front setbacks forward approximately fifteen (15) feet in order to have space for a pool between the home and the Catawba River riparian buffer requirement.  This would result in a minimum of a 35-foot setback.
