2021 – 2022 ADOPTED BUDGET

As part of the budget process the Belmont City Council has to approve a new budget for the upcoming fiscal year.  This process starts in the spring of each year, typically 4-5 months prior to the beginning of the new fiscal year, July 1. The council holds a series of public budget workshops to go over the specifics of the proposed budget where they can make changes and adjustments before holding the budget public hearing.  After the budget public hearing is held the council can then officially adopt the budget ordinance.  The budget has to be approved before June 30 at 12 PM.

The Belmont City Council held their budget workshops on March 22, 2021 and May 17, 2021.  City Manager Adrian Miller presented the proposed budget to the City Council during these workshops.  The minutes for the March 22, 2021 budget workshop can be viewed by clicking here.  The minutes from the May 17, 2021 will be available soon.  To view the recordings of these budget meetings visit our YouTube Channel by going to www.cityobelmont.org/livemeetings.
