Belmont Small Business Emergency Loan Program

The City of Belmont is offering a total of $400,000 in small business emergency loans to locally owned, non-franchise businesses located within the Belmont corporate limits as part of the City’s “Keep the Lights on in Belmont” program.  Loans to eligible small businesses will be awarded in amounts up to $10,000 to help cover operating expenses until state or federal assistance is available or until the economic crisis passes.

We are encouraging all small businesses to go ahead and submit an application to get it in the system until we find out about any potential federal aid. If you are awarded money, you are welcome to only accept a portion of it. You will not be penalized if you do not accept the any money from the loan, but it will be there if you need it.
