Organization establishes consensus and cooperation among all downtown stakeholders, including:
  • Banks
  • Civic organizations
  • Civic-minded individuals
  • Downtown property owners
  • Local government officials
  • Merchants
Common Goal
By getting everyone working toward the same goal, your Main Street program can provide effective, ongoing management and advocacy for our downtown or neighborhood district through volunteer recruitment and collaboration with partners representing a broad cross section of the community.

Committee Responsibilities
The Organization Committee is charged with the responsibility for:
  • Recruiting new members
  • Attracting sponsors for financial support
  • Representing the City of Belmont effectively in communications and public relations
  • Maintaining a relationship with the local media
Committee Activities
Typical activities involve prioritization of activities on a monthly basis and volunteer orientation.
