 Mayor Richard Boyce
Is a native of Charlotte who has lived in Belmont for
the past 14 years. He currently teaches at Union-PSLE
at Charlotte (A Presbyterian seminary on the campus of
Queens University) after serving as pastor of First Presbyterian
Church in Belmont for 10 years. He is married to the former
Kathleen Golding of Charlotte. He and Kathleen have four
daughters; three in college and one in eighth grade at
Belmont Middle School

 Charlie Flowers
Is a native of Belmont. Wife, Arlene is a registered nurse.
They have one son Chuck and two grandsons, Jack and Payton.
Charlie is a graduate of Gaston College, Fruitland Baptist
Bible Institute; Mid Atlantic Bible College and Seminary.
Retired Chief of Police of Belmont with 31 years of service.
Attends Unity Baptist Church where he serves as Trustee
and Deacon and missionary to Native Americans.

 Dick Cromlish
Lifelong resident of Belmont. Married for 41 years to
the former Sandra Killian, a retired educator from Gaston
County Schools. Two sons, Stan and Travis who are both
Eagle Scouts. Manager and Vice President of School Resources,
Inc. for 35 years. Member of First Presbyterian Church
in Belmont for 25 + years. Served on the Board for Gaston
County Economic Development Commission, Citizens South
Bank, member and past president of Belmont Chamber of
Commerce and Belmont Rotary Club.

 Charlie
Martin
Is a 38 year resident of Belmont. Married to Dot Martin
and has five children. Has worked in the insurance business
for over thirty-five years as an agent and manager and
business owner. He is a two time president of the Gaston
County Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors
and a past area vice-president of the North Carolina
Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. He
is a graduate of Belmont Abbey College and currently
serves on the Alumni Board. He currently serves on the
Gaston County Parks and Recreation Commission, the Gaston
County Travel and Tourism Board and the Stowe Family
YMCA Board.
