The City of Belmont has adopted a pedestrian master plan to make our city even more walkable and pedestrian friendly. The master plan was funded by a grant from NCDOT Division of Bicycle and Pedestrian Transportation. The City used Greenways, Incorporated as its consultant on the project.
This plan lists and prioritizes physical improvements, such as new sidewalks, greenways and intersection improvements, as well as provides examples of programs and policies that can be used to create a more physically active environment.
The executive summary of the Pedestrian Transportation Plan is also available below. The full adopted plan is available in the Belmont Planning Department.
