Belmont Tree Board

Minimize

The City Council created the Tree Board to promote urban forestry and to help preserve Belmont's tree canopy. The Tree Board, which consists of six Belmont residents, will promote urban forestry through an annual Arbor Day celebration and various educational events throughout the year.

The Tree Board also promotes urban forestry by providing information to residents about the importance of trees and of planting the right tree in the right location. It has completed an inventory of Belmont's street trees and has worked with the City Council and Planning and Zoning Board on revisions to Belmont's tree ordinance.
