Arbor Day/Earth Day 2012

Belmont will have environmental-related crafts for children, music  and vendors from environmental companies and land conservation organizations.  

 Rain Barrell Class @ 11:30am  Fee: $25.00

Learn about the benefits of rain water collection, its impacts to the environment, and build your own 50 gallon rain barrel! Please be prepared to take your rain barrel with you. Measurements are roughly 41x22x22 inches.  (The barrels can be painted to match your home.)

Compost Class – 10.00
Beginner composting class. Learn about the basics of composting, the benefits of organic material use, and how easy it is do implement at home!  2 master composters will cover the basics of composting, troubleshooting and the Bokashi method of composting. The fee includes the class, take home materials, and a wire compost bin to get you started.
